First off, I would like to thanks the great people at PULSE, including the single cell people in the PULSE office, for allowing me to publish my little article. May they never tire from the message our cruel world needs to hear! There is a ton Staphylococcus (sometimes called "Staph") propaganda out there in the "medical" community. So many people fear Staph infections, as if they were a bad thing. Here's the truth my friend: they're just a bunch of grape-like people that want to hang out with you. They love us human people but we don't always show love back. It should not be this way. Why do some people complain about Staph? Well, it's mostly because the cruel "doctors" in the "medical" "system", who supposedly have taken an oath to save lives, like to prescribe life-zapping chemicals and such that show no regard to the dignity of our microbial flora friends. The real pain humans suffer in the process is simply our shared agony with our dying spherical kinsmen. Please join me in celebrating our codependency with the Staphylococcaceae family, for we need the bacteria kingdom as much as they need our mucous membranes. Share the rights, share the love. Peace. |

Because we live in a country which prides itself on tolerance and diversity for all people, it is critical that we continue this proud tradition and extend this acceptance of fundamental human rights to the downtrodden germ community as well. PULSE has led the way in promoting fairness for living organisms, and we the people need to work together with PULSE to end the cultural stain which is germcism!
With a growing global acceptance of gays and lesbians, it’s only fair to extend the same to bacteria and fungus so they, too, can be assured of basic human rights and finally be safe at home, work and in the community like the rest of us. As a busy mother of five and proud member of WURM (Women opposed to the Unethical Racism against Microorganisms, which is a sister organization to PULSE), I strive to teach my children the fundamental values that all life is sacred and should be protected including the lives of all germs from all over the world. As a family, we are diligent in raising awareness within our community by: (1) going door-to-door speaking with the neighbors; (2) posting flyers throughout town in places such as schools, coffee shop and bus stops; and (3) volunteering at local food banks, shelters, nursing homes and daycares. So far, our message of hope of achieving human rights for all germs has not been received well because the ugly face of germcism persists in our world, but that only makes us want to fight harder. I guess people are still a bit uneasy when they see kids with dirty hands and faces, but we remain steadfast in not judging them for their ignorance for they know not what they do. After all, you have to eat a whole pound of dirt before it can harm you!” |

President Obama publicly apologized today for his random slaughter of hundreds of millions of peaceful, harmless germs and bacteria today after a scathing article from PULSE reporter Randolph Brown. Said, President Obama, “I deeply apologize for any and all harm that I caused to the many non-violent organisms that lived on and within the body of the fly that I so recklessly swatted during my interview. It was a thoughtless act and I can promise you that you will never again catch me killing an innocent provider of nutrition and housing to so many organisms again on live camera.” PULSE editors gladly accepted the President’s apology on behalf of germs everywhere. |

President Obama murdered hundreds of millions of innocent organisms today when he nonchalantly swatted a harmless flying insect during a television interview. The President was then heard to brag about the slaughter saying “Got the sucker!”
Professor Blake Barton, MD, PHD, DDS, commented when asked by PULSE reporters, that as many as a billion, or at least several hundred millions of germs, viruses, bacteria and other microscopic organisms can be found in the body of the typical housefly.
“Without doubt,” stated Professor Barton, “the President is guilty of the extermination of untold millions of life forms.”

This week Berkeley California was the first city in US history to impose a full ban on soap in public school bathrooms.
“We think we’re sending kids the wrong message when we teach them that it’s alright to kill anything.”
Radcliff Fimus, PULSE member and principal of South Berkeley High
School said moments after the decision was made by the city court. “This decision stands as a great victory and a testament to the courage of those who value the lives of the innocent.”
The principal has plans to introduce new material to the cirriculum in
subjects such as Health & Biology to raise germ-student relations
to an all time high.
Not everyone is celebrating the decision. Members of CLEANSE, the Coalition to Legitimize Exterminating All Nefarious Single-celled Entities were present to protest the decision this morning with signs and banners proclaiming children’s “…fundamental right to wash in school.”
The group’s leader who wished to remain anonymous said that they plan to appeal this decision to a higher court.
The war against germicide has been waging since 1954, when soap was first introduced to our public schools by act of congress.

The phrase The Ugly American has been around since the mid-sixties, referring to the manner in which arrogant Americans treated other peoples around the world. The phrase was accurate then but far more so today.
